Any Questions?

The Singer came home from school and told us about her Religion homework. The teacher had told them to imagine that they were about to meet Jesus, and they could ask Him one question.
What would they ask?

Well, we've come up with various questions over the tea table, some bordering on the irreverant (Will United win the European Cup this year?) and the heartwarming (Please can I see my grandad again?)

My own question would be 'Why did you have to go through all that? Was there no other way?'
(Which is technically two questions).

But it got me thinking, if you had this opportunity, what would you ask?

Simple. I would ask when He was coming back - as in "the second coming."

How's the one with the earache doing??

Hi. I found your blog through a link on another one. Hope you don't mind if I comment. My questian would be: Why have so many children had to suffer abuse and mistreatment. Now, I know the answer of the sin nature and right and wrong in the world- a.k.a. free will. But there's a part of me that wishes all that could be bypassed. On another note, I think it's a great idea to give this assignment to the kids to make them think. Must be an interesting class.

Thanks for visiting my blog today - I am happy to "meet" you! Wow, FIVE daughters! That is wonderful. I love girls, I have two. I also love boys, I have one. :)

This is a fantastic question. What would I ask...
Maybe... "What do you see when you look at me?" Revelation says that we have a secret name, known only to Him. I'm dying to know what mine is... I always have the impression that He looks at me and shakes His head! But the Bible tells us differently, doesn't it? And so, I'd like to know what He thinks of me. Who does HE think I really am?

I'll have to ask my family that sometime. It's a good thing to ponder.

I've enjoyed my visit and I'm sure I'll be back...

Good questions! I'd have to ask "How much longer?!?"...not that time is an issue to Him...but it is to us!

Just wandered by from another blog...love the 5-girls thing...we have 4 girls and 2 boys...makes life in our house a little crazy, too!

I love the pets in heaven comment. I would probably ask what I should be doing with my life; what his purpose is for me. Seems a bit foggy these days. Hope your girls are doing well... I'm the oldest of three. But five! Oh well, as my mom says, rather a lot of girls than a lot of boys! :)

Wow, that is a big one to ponder isn't it? I'll have to think on it.

Thanks for coming by my site today and leaving a comment. It's really nice to "meet" you!

What is purgatory like?

Great post! I'd love to be able to ask, "Are any of us getting it right, or have we totally missed the point?"

I'd ask if my mom and dad are in heaven or purgatory. I would hope the 3rd option didn't factor in....

Thanks for visiting my blog! 5 daughters! You are my hero!

Hmmmm....as for the question, mine would echo yours and since yours was two, maybe we could split it and each ask one! I hope I never lose my amazement that He willingly went to the cross bear the weight of the sins of mankind, my own included. Absolutely amazing.

Love your blog!

What a great thought....

I know what my question would be...'where are they? will i see them again?'

I've been asking it for a long time already. I miss them.

I have absolutely no idea, I'd probably just stand there looking like a goldfish.

Good question! I've often thought I'd have a lot of questions if I had the chance - but then, when you see how he answered the questions he was asked, he usually answered a different question ("And who is my neighbor" was answered by "which of the three was a neighbor...?" in the good Samaritan story), or is very enigmatic, or, or, or! So I'm not sure I would understand the answer anyway!

Wow what a great question. I don't know that I would be able to do anything but bow at His feet. I suppose I would want to know why all the pain and disease?
Blessings,
Linda

Oooh! Great one! I am joining a bit late, but I'd ask (if He could hear me through all of my tears) "What can I do to help You?"

Thanks again for stopping by today!
