Anyone for Tea?

Tootsie tagged me to show my teacups!

Now, either I'm not a very good photographer, or the camera's no good, or the light in the kitchen on a rainy Wednesday afternoon won't suffice, because the first lot of photos I took had a sort of abstract look about them, and I had to move the whole lot to a tray on the hall table for you to see anything at all.

Anyway, this one's mine:

Oh, alright - the china teapot only makes an appearance on Christmas Day, but I really will only drink from a white china cup. Can't abide coloured cups. I would drink from one if I was desparate, but it would have to be white on the inside!!

The Singer's the next biggest tea drinker in the house. She likes something chocolatey with hers:

The Fixer's United mug and a Smarties cookie or two:

The Peacemaker's always been a big Winnie the Pooh fan:

While The Noise is more of a 'Groovy Girl':

The Football Fanatic doesn't drink tea or coffee. If she could get away with it, she would drink this in the house:

But since she can't, she has to settle for this:

Oh, I forgot to show you what I have with a cup of tea:

Now, don't get all self-righteous on me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

You couldn't get through a day in here without some form of substance abuse.

I tag Mrs. Fox, Pud and Working Mum.

That's a nice array of cups, I like the vodka one!

This may be one of the coolest tags I've ever seen! I love all the tea cups. The Singer's may be my favorite though.

And you can still drink Vodka in a tea cup. I'm pretty sure there are quite a few grande dames who have been doing so for years. :)

Hee heee! This is a good one.

If you recall, I lost my favourite mug at work, so I'm trying to make freinds to others, but I'll sort something out.

Really, posh china? Are you a MIF or a TIF?

My sister wont drink out of a colored cup either AND she has to approve of the shape ... she also critiques restaurants (not for a living, but just because) based on their water glasses ... and if they put condiments on the tables, she will never go back.

Me? I am an oversized mug sort of gal ...

That is a wonderful tag, and I love your response, as usual. Love the dress that you are wearing. SO do you wear it only for tea? Or on other occasions as well?

I'm more of a coffee drinker, myself. But I do drink it out of a china cup! Mine has tiny blue flowers around the edge, with gold trim.

Wish you could join me! I'd even make tea for you, with fresh mint from my garden! Or, I might convert you to coffee . . .

Yes I still have one of those with a cup of tea. We really ought to get together. (Perhaps put the 18 & 19 yo together and wait for the explosion...)

*reminder in phone to go shopping for a white china cup*
(Would you believe I do not own ONE? I do have willow pattern, white-on-the-inside ones though).

lmao! at least you're looking mighty spiffy while abusing that substance :)

Go the china cup brigade! I too only drink tea in a real cup...I'm not fussed if it's white or not, though. As long as I feel like a lady while I partake. ;-)

Great post, thanks for joining in!

Vodka in tea cups? There was once a beach cafe called the Red Spider in Whitstable which served gin in teapots. Legendary.

Your white china is very elegant.

Oh no jackie, I have to bear my mugs to the world. Thank God it's not jugs, I may have ruined a perfectly decent tag. Pud x

Jackie, I ruined the tag anyway. It's done. Pud x

That was so fun. I love it! Especially your all white teacup. I wish I had some just like that. Mine were my grandmother's and although they are white on the inside, none of them are white on the outside. Hmpf.
