That Was A Week??

I don't quite know where this week went, to be honest. I remember it involved a little shopping, a little cleaning and a lot of cooking, but I don't seem to have much to show for it.

I do know one thing though. On the very few occasions that I haven't written something good about the Father of This Lot, the whole situation has seemed to take a dramatic shift in a downhill direction. (I wonder if there's a lesson there)?

If he gets it right with me, it all goes wrong with the kids.

If he gets it right with the kids, it all goes wrong with me.

At the moment, he's getting it right with the kids.

However, I remain unperturbed. Today is St. Anthony's feastday. We're very big on St. Anthony in this house - the Football Fanatic being the greatest devotee. I have called him on myself on too many occasions to count, and even the Father of This Lot turns to him when things get a bit rough.

He is particularly invoked by most people when things go missing.

I'm getting on to him right now.

Perhaps he'll be able to point me in the right direction to find my sense of humour, peace, hope and possibly my will to live.

I go to St Anthony for most everything...including finding lost patience with the man I love and adore and have called the love of my life for nearly 40 years...he pulls me through and keeps me from bashing Mac about the head and shoulders everytime!

Men~ can be right pains in the *** sometimes..no I'll re-phrase most of the time!!
I always have to drop what I am doing (like just now when I had made a nice cup of coffee and was about to sit down for half an hour and read the paper) to give a hand. I had to hold things in the garden while himself tied up plants. Why the urgency he only had half an hour before going out to lunch with his sister and daughter (no I did not want to go.I just stayed at home with cold coffee)!

I was reading this thinking "Is St Anthony for lost things or lost causes?" Thank goodness he's not lost causes, I was beginning to worry. Hope he helps you (and the FOTL).

btw who is for lost causes? Perhaps they need him at City!

If St Anthony does your list, could you have a word with him and see if he'd come and do my list next?

Much appreciated. x

Ohhhh, I don't like it when you're down :(

~Thanks for the comment on my fridge post. LOL. We had no internet connection in the village today, or Lotto, or ATM, so it really cheered me up when I eventually was able get online.

I for one sure hope he was able to help you through and find that will to live .. the rest of it, well it usually works out the way it should .. even if we're not all happy with the results.

I've been gone from blogworld for several days, but I will pray for you tonight - and FOTL. Sounds like he could use some pointing in the right direction, too! ;)

I hope things are looking brighter now. You have quite a load to carry, there. It's easier to carry when we FEEL a bit cheery, anyway, so I will pray for a sunny day, and a good laugh along the way to help lighten that load a little bit today.

Much love,
Jen
