A Learning Curve

The Father of This Lot has finally decided that he does not want this relationship to go completely down the tube.

Don't worry - I won't do anything rash.

I did hear him muttering something about there being 'a great long list of stuff he'll have to do' in order for him to regain his somewhat tarnished reputation in the household.

Not really. Just start behaving like a husband and father of five children rather than an eighteen year old single male with absolutely no responsibilities.

Now I think of it, that will actually constitute a major life overhaul.

Oh well.

Hopefully, the transition from this:

to this:

...won't be too painful for him.

Yeah, it's okay if it takes him a while to figure it out ... as long as he does so in the end. But not when he's, like, 80 or something. Oh you know what I mean.

Small steps eventually turn into great strides . . .

Here's to the learning curve!

Blessings to both of you, and praying for a sudden stroke of genius on his part!

Hang on it's going to be a bumpy ride but if it's meant to be it will turn into smooth sailing. Just may take a while. Prayers sent up for you and him :)

Great news.

We all make mistakes, don't we? We just have to learn from them....

Best of luck to you both. You already know it's hard, but frequently (hopefully) worth it.

Once he realizes that he is always wrong and you are always right, then things will settle down nicely...

Absolutely no doubt that he deserves the lot, but "poor" and the first three letters of the word ending in "omite" that isn't the one about mountains in Italy are words which spring to mind.

He could drive the Football Fanatic with or without Jack to Monte Carlo and back as a penance. Of course, you'd have to go as well to keep him on the straight and narrow ...

oh, yes, I do so hope it will soon look just like that...

hang in there - it could be worth it!!

God bless BOTH your efforts.

I fear it may be painful - for you both!
At least as others say, it is a step in the right direction. Just being a cynic (sorry) but, how many years did it take for this step? What's the commitment that it won't take as many years for the next?

I really DO hope you two can make it, but it takes TWO, and it does not have to be at his speed all the time. If he realises what the problem is, he needs to now go fix it. You can only change yourself, no one else. Prayers still winging their way to you....

Well, at least he's thinking about it (whats on our hearts, comes out of our mouths)...

hmm, all of us should get an overhaul -should be mandatory, no?
