Waiting in Line

There is a queue for the computer tonight and apparently I'm at the back of it. Two history projects and a religion homework are in front of me.

Oh, look, I'm not quite at the back - that'll be me with the basket and the pestering kids. And I'm pretty sure that's my old headmistress striding along in the road like a woman on a mission.

Anyway, I'll make it quick. What a clever lot you are. Everybody worked the puzzle out (although if I do another one I'll hide the comments).

It was the maid.
In the hall.
With the letter opener.
Oh no...wrong game.

I really wish the butler had done it though.

I still say she was just picking up Saturday's mail, which came late in the day after she was already off duty.

It was the butler.

Pesky kids having to use the computer to do their homework! It happens here too.

I think the headmistress did it with a wallop on the head with her handbag.

Jeni from Down River Drivel pointed me in your direction. I like your blog and I can't even imagine having 5 daughters! Two is plenty. Wow...the drama you must live with..

Maybe the butler and the maid were in it together!

I feel for you. We have 4 computers and only 2 kids and yet is always seems to be mine that they want to use. And to think that they see researching 'the Dissection of a Pig's Ear' on Wikipedia to be more exciting than my bloghopping.

We need our own sort of 'internet cafe for ladies who blog'. Admittance by password only.

Then I could treat myself to that rather gorgeous pink leather laptop case that I saw a while ago...well, I have to look the part, don't I?

And was it the maid? Please put me out of my agony....

I got so sick of being at the back of the queue to use the computer, I saved and saved and saved to buy the kids a desktop computer of their own. It's great, now my computer is MY COMPUTER!! Dell online deals are fabulous ;-)

I know exactly how you feel! I am always being booted off the computer because someone has an assignment to work on. Where did you children come from and who's idea were you anyway?! HA!

I like bella mocha's idea of an internet cafe for blogging women! I got the old percolator out today and my home has that lovely rich coffee aroma.

As for the computers - sometimes it is worth it just to get them their own, like kitty said. Unfortunately, as they get theirs later than mine, the kids tend to get a state of the art top model and mine is still groaning. One advantage of having an 18 year old doing IT at college though....
