It's All About Me

I've been tagged. From behind. Three times. And bloody painful it was too - they crept up on me mob-handed. I didn't stand a chance.

The first one was from Kit and Autumn Rose

1. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

What I was doing 10 years ago:

I was as happy as a sandboy. I could still see my Dad every day. I was surrounded by baby girls, who all got on well and never argued with each other, with me, or with anyone else. I was probably bemoaning the fact that Arsenal had won both the Premiership and the F.A. Cup, and I was blissfully unaware that two months hence I would be looking at that little blue line on a pregnancy testing kit and thinking...'Oh, dear God, not again...'

5 Snacks I enjoy:

Cheese and crackers

and probably something else beginning with C which I can't think of at the moment

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:

Buy United back from the Glazers for the Football Fanatic

Buy The Singer a recording studio

Buy The Fixer a red Ferrari which she could fix herself if it ever went wrong

Arrange for The Peacemaker to take charge of a Dogs Home, so that she could have all the dogs she wanted without actually bringing any home

Buy a country mansion for The Noise so that she wouldn't have to share a room

(Can you tell that they're all standing behind me, telling me what to write? In reality, I would hate to be a billionaire and I would give all the money away before anybody knew about it).

Five jobs that I have had:

Office junior

Insurance clerk

Nursery Assistant

Three of my bad habits:

Thinking I can do it better than anyone else (although in this house I usually can)!

Having very little patience with this lot (sometimes)

Smoking (Oh, come on. You don't seriously think I could manage in here without some form of substance abuse, do you?)

Five places I have lived:

Well, I've only ever lived in one city, so the only thing I can think of is to tell you the numbers of the houses I've lived in:

Five people I want to know more about (a nice way of saying TAG!):

Okay, that's enough information for one day. I shall do the remaining two tags another day. I feel quite worn out. Although that could be due to the fact that I have had a very productive afternoon Clearing Out The Hall Cupboard - a task so immense that unless it is carried out with ruthless regularity we would never be able to get through the front door.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend - we're having the Father of This Lot for Sunday dinner tomorrow.

Can't decide whether to boil him or roast him.

I'm kidding.

And I'm trying, aren't I? Felt it was the least I could do when he turned up this afternoon with a new dryer.

And they do say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

Personally, though, I've always preferred this description:

Sort of.

Update: Give me strength! Go and see what The Fixer's done now!

You could always roast the potatoes really really hard and crunchy, then one might be sharp enough to pierce the skin? Just a thought.

Nice meme by the way - it's always nice to learn something about the person behind the blog.

Hope all goes well tomorrow. x

Good luck with Sunday lunch.Tell him I'll cook him Sunday dinner if he gets me a dryer and I'll even make a pudding if he throws in a hoover. Of course he'd have to bring all of you as well, I'd need someone to peel all the spuds, we could get the FOTL and the kids to do it and we could sneak off for the day.

I think smoking is bad in general but as vices go not so much .. did you hear a pack of 20 cigarettes here is now almost $10 .. I remember when a carton cost less than that ..

You're not kidding. I can tell. It's that female intuition... Just don't get caught!

Great tag - I'll get to it tomorrow or Monday. It's great finding out a bit more about people. I am just coming out of my shell a bit now.
Yes, that is me with Jazz...

Thanks for stopping by. And thanks for tagging me. I think.

Really loved reading your tag and will do this too.

If you become a billionaire please consider me for a charitable donation.

Fixer please put the garland award on the shelf.I really like the idea. She is so clever.Wish I was close by to take her help.

Great fun this Post, and thank you for the Tagging - I'll get busy on those answers. And I have at last managed to embed a link to you in my latest - how I would love to have The Fixer on tap! Have visited her too, btw. M :)

Well done to the Fixer - great blog page. Excellent tagging information. I'm not really sure which way is the quickest to a man's heart - they're never happy are they!

I'm into crisps and chocolate, and smoking - although like my hall cupboard that's always on the "to sort-out list"

Hope the lunch went well!

When you came by my blog, I felt like you caught me just out of the shower in my robe. Please drop by again, I promise it will be much more interesting. Maybe not important or life-changing but interesting.

Oh, I hope the lunch went well! A new dryer? Added to the Hoover? Seems to me you've already won his heart . . .

Serve up that roast, flutter those eyelashes, and before you know it you'll have that trip to Paris or New York, and a new dress as well!

Looking forward to hearing how the lunch went. Hope it was OK.

Congratulations on clearing out your cupboard.

Thanks again for the award. I would like to invite you and your daughters to be guests of honour at my tea party, where I am passing on your award. Hope you can make it.

LOL. I love my husband, but that graphic "The fastest way to a man's heart is by tearing a hole through his ribcage" really cracked me up.

Thanks for sharing some fun details about yourself. And, although this may be silly, there's an award over at my place for you...
