Awardage ( A Kitty-type Word)

Sadly, it is the last day of the Paint Shop Pro 30 day trial on which The Fixer has been utilising her considerable technical talents by making awards for all and sundry.

She is, as we speak, trying to persuade the Father of This Lot to part with the £50 it costs for the boxed version, in order to carry on. Since he has no knowledge whatsoever of this blog I am not exactly sure what reason she is giving him for its immediate necessity. I have however, often been on the receiving end of the negotiating powers of The Fixer, and feel I can say quite confidently that he doesn't stand a chance.

Because it's the last day, she has come up with some extra-special awards. And guess who she's given the first one too?

Go on, guess.

Me.

(I cannot decide whether this is out of daughterly love or a back-up plan for the Paint Shop Pro in case financial negotiations with her father reach breaking point).

Either way, it is a VERY nice looking award, although I'm not sure whether I should be flattered or not:

In time honoured tradition, I would like to pass this on to those two famous daytime TV shows 'Diary of A Housewife' and 'Family Affairs'

(And can I just point out that if you've not yet tuned in to Family Affairs (Mon. and Thurs. 2pm, ITV) please make sure you have a cup of coffee with you - it's fast moving and you'll need to keep up. You might want a pen and paper as well.....)

You'll like the next award. She says she made it for all the bloggers who seem like if you met them, would invite you in for a nice long chat.

And here they are:

Here it is - pass it on to all the bloggers you have a good chat with.

If I've forgotten anybody, or if you've not had one of The Fixer's awards, I promise I haven't done it on purpose - feel free to go back and take any that you'd like. She's a generous soul, she won't mind!

In other news, I've been thinking about these Cannonball Catholic Awards. Perhaps there will be a ceremony. Personally, I'm hoping for the Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire Boulevard - they do a very nice awards ceremony. Or maybe it will be in New York - perhaps the Waldorf Astoria or the Plaza.

And I'll need a dress - what about something along these lines?:

Perfect for an awards cermony I would have thought.

Then it struck me - I can't go on my own. I'll need an entourage. Rumour is Jennifer Lopez doesn't travel anywhere without a mob of about fifty people.

So, who's up for it?

Now, where did I put that passport.............?

What can I say? Please thank the fixer, I like her style and she really deserves the £50 paint shop thingy. No one has ever awarded me before (sob sob) so I'm thrilled!

I'm overcome, sniff, sniff! Thank you to the fixer, I think it's fab. She needs that paint shop pro to develop these creative skills further!

By the way, fab dress, how about red?

PS If you know Dunham, where in the UK are you? Do I know you?

This is a great award profuse thanks to the fixer. You are welcome to drop in for a very long chat anytime and I'd even bake a cake :)

AS you know, I'm preparing for a "vacation" as we speak, otherwise I would join you on Wilshire Boulevard, or wherever. And thank you so very for the award - I for one think she should get the software. Perhaps she could post a survey and then present the results???

Fabulous! Many thanks!

The dear Fixer should most certainly have her Photoshop. And I am horribly behind on award posting, and shall remedy it shortly.

I am SO there for your award ceremony. I will be wearing the tribal-pattern Birkenstocks with the Fendi beaded clutch...

Thank you SOOOOO much. I feel very honoured to get such a splendid award.(and a little plug!)...clearly the speed is working! Are you serious that your husband doesn't know about the blog? That is amazing...I will come with you to NY, although you may have noticed that religion doesn't feature too highly on my list so I might have to wait for you outside x

Well, I read somewhere that JLo foots the bill for her dear friends to join her at these things . . .

I say lets all go to the ceremony, and charge it to FOTL! (After he purchases the program for the Fixer, of course!)

Renae said...

Oh! Will they let a protestant attend? Maybe I can sneak by in a habit . . .

Yaaaaaaaay! I am TOTALLY the type to invite you in for a nice chat. Heck. Even our mailman knows my life story. This award is completely suited to me, so, thanks.

btw - Love the dress and I'd happy to be part of your "entourage". But Jennifer Lopez is the one who usually pays for everthing, so I'm assuming you'll be picking up the tab? My passport is ready to go...

Just send her along when he goes for milk.

I bow, positively bow to you and the most amazing graphics anywhere. And I do mean anywhere. My envy is almost consuming me.

I love your own personal award and am hoping she meant the tv show thing as a compliment. Surely she did?!

And going back a post to the Anything you say can and will be blogged? Brilliant. (the envy is back...)

Well, you jolly well deserve yours, you really do. And I think that you are looking very well! Especially in that dress you are thinking of wearing to collect your award from Italy!
Hope the girls manage to get The father of this Lot to part with the money for the Photo Shop with out finding anything out about your blog. Maybe it could be to do with school, the reason that they would need it! For art projects!

I just love that dress! And the very profesional looking awrds!!

You definitely earned the award and you should get that TV show too!

P.S.:
Thank you for the "Mirando Blogger's Rights" sign. I'll have to ask my offspring about how to copy and print it. *mothernotalwaysknows*

Fixer needs the £50 paint shop thingy for her homework, you don't need to mention your blog! She's done a fab job on the awards and I'm honoured to receive one, thank you and thanks fixer!

Fixer is definitely right - you're blog should be on the telly! :)

First of all let me say a big thank you to you and clever-clever artistic Fixer.

its true through our blogs we sort of have conversations.I like your wordy wednesday.

I volunteer to be in the CC Award entourage.we could get you to dress like an Indian Princess, in a glittering gown and jewels.

Hi there!

Thank you so much for the award, Jackie and the Fixer! I'm honored! Let's hope dear old Dad hands over the cash for the Paint Shop Pro. I'm sure a few flutters of the eyelashes will have him wound tightly around her finger! I LOVE the awards Fixer has created, very cool!

Hi Jackie!

How fun- your daughter obviously is a talented girl!
Tell her I think she did a fabulous job with all the doo-daddles she has created (awards) and that I am very impressed.

She definitely should continue on, as it obviously is something she enjoys. PLUS, she is a generous girl and that is a blessing in itself.

Three cheers for your talented girl!

You are definitely one of my favorite British families to watch.

I came across a new (here anyway) British show...Kingdom. I enjoyed it and so love the British humour.

Have a lovely weekend my friend.

That dress is very foxy, but one slip and you'll have your eye out!

Psst, tell The Fixer that if she nips over to eBay, she'll find what she's looking for, for a whole lot less than £50 ;-)

I've tagged you for a meme, btw :)

That dress looks a bit lethal, you could have somebody's eye out with those sticky out bits at the top if they happened to get too close.
Nice cigarette holder and I'm quite fond of the hat!
