I sometimes have the 'pleasure' of an msn conversation with my daughter. Her 'txt spk' drives me nuts ... how can they communicate like that? :-O

Good on her for getting what she wants though - that girl is going to go FAR ;-) x

I cracked up after I realized "fing" wasn't short for finger... because I couldn't for the life of me figure out what a finger for a computer would look like!

i actually understood 'text speak'. i do it myself, 'cept i don't use fing :) texting is my x's choice of communication w me...whatever, right? lol

Amazing and commendable. Well done that Fixer. How you cope with it all, I don't know. Full of admiration. M xx

I knew she could do it, and you didn't even have to send him for milk.

Good try. Just what I would've done.

Wish I had my own genie, too. :)

They know just the right thing to say don't they? Maybe if she had said the trip was for her it might have worked? :#

Isn't it amazing how they think a quick question will get them whatever they want. My 12 year old is currently doing my head in asking for M video games (ha!). (That would be M for "mature", ie over 17 years old.)
His logic is that I should want to make him happy. I can either give him M games or have an unhappy child. Well, guess what sweetcheeks.....

Well done The Fixer! See what she thinks of my efforts: there's an award waiting for you at my place!

Love your blog. You are the one that got working mum crazy for the meez, right? I tried to make myself into one and I sat there for an hour and then the thing wouldn't export. I need a Fixer.

Is the Fixer to let? I have so many projects, so little time...and a 10 year old who would adore her! ;-)

When my next review comes up at work may I borrow The Fixer to negotiate for me?

That is really funny and definitely worth a try! Next time, get Fixer to say the trip is for her and a friend. Only when it comes to putting names on tickets do you need to confess....

Yipee! Great guns Fixer.

Make an award for a generous hearted Dad for him and print it out and frame it.

Ask him about the trip to NY or Paris after he 's had Sunday dinner.
