Maid in Manchester?

The Father of This Lot came round today and cleaned the cooker:

He only ever cleans the cooker when he is:

a) extremely stressed

b) has a problem at work

c) has something to tell me

Well?
Which do you think it is?
A, B or C?

My breath is as baited as yours.

Well, it's sparkling clean so it must be bad...really bad...

I'm hoping and praying for the best.

wow it's a lovely cooker and my guess is he has something to tell you~ could it be good news rather than bad... probably not! Hope whatever it is he doesn't leave you (or us) in suspense for too long!

(c) about (a) because of (b)? Do I get a bigger win for an accumulator? :-p x

Renae said...

No clue. But if he gets too stressed, send him over to clean mine! :-)

Praying it's good news . . .

ooh your cooker is just the same as mine! Only mine's cream. And filthy. Next time he has something to say would you like to send him this way?

Oh, no, it must be c. I can't imagine a man cleaning because he's stressed.

Maybe it's d - he wants to impress you... or... something else...? ;)

Had to tell you - I bought the book yesterday at the bookstore! I ended up with a credit at Barnes and Noble, and it was the exact amount of the book. I cannot thank you enough, it's WONDERFUL and I'm bragging about you and the book on my blog today! THANKS!

Crikes, hope it's not all three!

First I adore your cooker.

I am going to agree with ciara. D-all of the above. Keep us posted.

OK, so I used the word "napalm" when you wanted it and then stole "paradigm shift" from you, but did you have to taunt me with your RANGE COOKER!!?

Some people.

It's got to be "C". Especially since I've been over your kid's blog and she says there were jobs to do and FoTL did none of the fixing jobs despite being around all day! So he then cleans the cooker... Hmmmm. Fishy.

Love the cooker.

Let us know as soon as please. Can't wait...

I must have one of those! Our house was built in 1913. Do the sell them in the States?

When my husband gets stressed, he just wants to play his XBox. Sigh.

C - and it's good.

Wow - that cooker's clean. He must be feeling really bad about something!

Hope it is not bad news. That cooker is so huge, I can't believe it is a domestic one!
Perhaps as Kitty suggests, it is all 3!

Maggie May said...

Can you spare him to clean mine? He can do it in HALF the time as its only little by comparison!

Casdok said...

Wow!
All 3!

As the only man commenting so far I'd go for c) but wot do I know?

P.S. I love your shelves for awards - great idea. How do you do that?

Sass said...

I think it's c. And it's not as bad as he thinks it is.

Adrienne said...

I think it is C also and it will be good. That is a great stove (cooker). I'm jealous.

I need to hire The Fixer to be my compaign manager. Thom over at Ad Dominum is pulling ahead for best Best Blog by a Charismatic Catholic over at the Crescat. Now I like Thom but he is a 24 year old whippersnapper.

Find out what she charges and I'll draw up the paperwork:) Remind her about the whining, crying, and grinding of teeth if I lose. Not to mention sitting in the corner twirling my hair.

My husband doesn't get stressed so it's always me that has to clean the range. Doesn't matter though because he usually does a 'man clean' which is on a par with a 'man look' i.e. neither is worthy of the effort!

In his defence, he's a fab DIY'er though and I'm crud at that!

Answer to question: Is it all three?

I should imagine after cleaning that cooker he will be extremely stressed anyway. I would go for c)

Yes, definitely c) and could he pop round to do mine (he doesn't have to have anything to tell me)?

PS Don't worry about the fixer and her mafia approach to comments, I'm used to the youth of today!

Bah I'm late.
Your cooker is lovely though. (And not because he cleaned it).

Shit men cleaning, that's seriously scary. The husband is very house trained and will cook, wash, iron and wash up but wouldn't know where to start with a can of Mr Muscle.

I am afraid, very afraid....

Yours with baited breath...

god, who cares? a man cleaned your cooker? You may have died and gone to heaven.

Akelamalu said...

Can you send him round here my cooker needs cleaning?

Suburbia said...

I wouldn't care what was wrong with him.......I've been waiting 13 years for mine to clean the oven!!!

Amrita said...

D- He has feelings for you and wants to be close to you

Wish i could talk to him

My husband cleans (sort of) when he's stressed. I call it a "Bob Mop" He gets mop bucket which could still have cold dirty water in it. Dips the mop in and doesn't wring it out and proceeds to make a soup like mix of muck and fur on the floor tiles. He always does this in the kitchen when I am preparing food, and you add too the soup with your feet. He then walks around the rest of the house leaving soupy foot prints everywhere. Can we do a swap do you think?
