I'm Back!

And so am I!

Without a doubt, this has been the longest Holy Week of my life. I can't go into detail, but there has been something big going on with the Father of This Lot, and there have been times during this week when I have felt that I have been carrying a cross myself.
Still, with Easter Sunday comes renewal, and while I am not certain that we have got through this latest crisis, I think there may be, for now at least, some light at the end of the tunnel. More of a flickering candle than a halogen lamp, but a light all the same.
On the upside, I am a stone lighter than I was last Sunday. Well, the Football Fanatic thinks that's an upside, but then she thinks Kate Moss has the perfect figure. Personally, I am avoiding the mirror, as I think I look woefully thin and somewhere in the age range of ninety to a hundred and ten.
And even though I have not been commenting much, I have been lurking a bit, so I am off now to catch up with everybody and see what I've been missing! There's nothing much else happening today.....oh, except a marginally important football match against Liverpool which kicks off in fourteen minutes. Not that I'll be pacing the floor or anything.........
In the meantime, I wish everybody a Happy, Holy and Peaceful Easter.

Sorry to hear about your 'big thing' ... and very much hoping that the flickering candle stays alight.

I am listening to the football as I type - Mascherano has just been sent off, and Utd are 1-0 up at half time. Which won't please my Liverpool-supporting son!

Hope you and yours are enjoying the Easter weekend as much as is possible.

Take care. x

Is there a way in the States to get football on the net?!? I'm not quite savvy with the PC and all it's nooks and cranies.

Happy Easter, MOTL. May Our Lady keep you and yours under her loving mantle.

He is risen, He as risen indeed!

Well, I am wondering what the big thing that is going on, IS, but even a small candle flickering, produces some light, event in the darkest dungeon, so there is hope!

i like the way you put your Easter greeting...Happy and Holy. Somehow I feel the bunny and eggs take away the real meaning of Easter.

Happy Easter to you too.

Hope everything comers out alright.

I have posted an aria from Handel 's Messiah on my blog. Come and listen.

Why can 't I lose weight like this.
You can 't look old Jackie. You 've got your 5 PYTs around you and you are the the 6th.

And I hope you have a more peaceful and restful week now. Get stuck into some chocolate to compensate for that weight loss!

Hmmmm - the football match. My fanatic is Liverpool and went out to play at half time in disgust. I had to record the second half so we don't know the final score yet, but I could guess...

If you were here with me, I would give you a big hug, fix you a huge caramel cappuccino with whipped cream, cinnamon, and chocolate shavings, and serve it with a big, warm chocolate brownie. Then, we would sit together and watch "Roman Holiday" or some other such girl movie. xx

I know that God carries your circumstances in His hands. Am praying it resolves quickly and in your favor. :-)

Happy Easter, dear sister.

And here it is March madness (basketball). It was on the tv through Easter dinner, with the sound OFF though. Love your blog...you express the the everyday insanity that can be part of family life and you share your spiritual self without being over bearing.

Sorry to hear about your struggle. I have had a struggle here myself with my big guy, things are looking much brighter. Thanks so much for stopping by my place. I always love my visit here. You have such a way with words. Have I told you that once??? Well, you do. Hope your week starts out and ends up a wonderful week, with nothing bad in between. God Bless~

Hope your Easter was good.
Isn't it a shame that when we get to a "certain age" it's not always a good thing to lose weight. Not fair.

Jennifer said...

I hope your big thing is not serious and I will pray for you.

Hope you had a Happy and Blessed Easter!

Where's there's light there's hope! I know it should be where's there's life but light fits too!

You've lost a stone in a week? Crikey I wish I could, but then it depends under what circumstances you've lost it I suppose.

Happy Easter to you. x

And I hope things are o.k. with the FOTL.
