I Need A Hero!

I've been tagged by Crazycath - and a particularly difficult one it was too. I've got to say which Superhero I am most like. Well, apparently a Superhero is 'a character of unprecedented physical prowess dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest'. Good God! Derring-do? Derring-don't, more like. And the only thing I do in the public interest is church cleaning on a Friday morning. (Although I must admit, I do it rather well).

But believe me, I am not like any Superhero. They are all far too energetic for my liking. All that leaping and whizzing through the air and scaling skyscrapers by means of spider's webs. No thank you. And the quiz which was provided to help was no use at all, seeing as I emerged as The Green Lantern.

So, I've tweaked it a bit.

Whilst I have no desire to embrace anything that smacks remotely of exercise, I really wouldn't mind having a few magical powers - the sort where you don't actually have to move much to get things done. So, I've picked a few characters that I would quite like to swap lives with for a day, and since you know me quite well by now, I thought you could decide which one you think I would be most like.

I spent a large part of my childhood desperately wanting to be this character:

'Samantha Stevens - a good witch married to an ordinary man...'

But then again, there was:

'Jeannie - more than two thousand years old, she can control any situation with the blink of an eye....'

And of course:

'Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way'

So now it's up to you - which one is most like me?

I tag akelamalu and Beth

Bella - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT - you've got too much packing to do.

(Thanks Cath, I enjoyed it in the end)!

Hey MOATL, guess what?? Not only do we share a love for words such as napalm and paradigm shift, we are both apparently the superhero Green Lantern.

I have only one things to say about this. WTF is The Green Lantern? Should we be flattered?

My superhero is Patsy from Ab Fab. Does that count?

there have been many green lanterns...they had a 'power ring' which was pretty much powered by the wearers will and imagination...i think this really could be you, motl. mary poppins scares me lol

I think all mothers have to have a bit of "Mary Poppins" in them from time to time - kind of something that shows up as soon as you have your first child. And, you - with as many as you have in your lot - you have to have a tad bit more Mary Poppins going on there just to remain semi-sane from day to day don't 'cha think?

I am so glad you enjoyed it in the end! I wish I was a bit healthier and could invest the imagination a bit like you do! Bewitched! Of course. I always wanted to be Samantha Stevens. To do the chores with a twitch of the nose... Fab. Ab fab darling ;0)

And you? You definitely ARE Samantha Stevens. With 5 daughters and the ability to write posts like you do, no human could do it. You have to be a witch.

I'd say you are the "Sarcastic Mary Poppins." Can you imagine? Now THAT'S entertainment!

You are the genie as you manage so much chaos & get it all under control.
I have also been tagged with this one & am still trying to get my head round it!

Thanks for a great post. What a good laugh. I don't know if I dare admit this but I did the quiz and came out as Wonder Woman !?? I don't know who thinks these things up....

Oh yes, Sam from bewitched, definitely! Mary Poppins is far too much of a goody two shoes. Jeannie is fun, but she always messes up, doesn't she? I don't that's you. Nope, it has to be Sam, she usually manages to achieve what she wants without ruffling too many feathers..

Oh yes, I always wanted to be Samanatha Stevens too - she was so 'together' wasn't she? And what wasn't together could be fixed with a twitch of her nose.

I couldn't be Mary Poppins and suffer that excruciating 'cockney' accent of Dick Van Dyke's day in and day out.

Jeannie was nice - but there's Larry Hagman to consider there isn't there?

Hmmm, I'd stick with Samantha if I were you.

Oh, come now, girls! I think MOTL has Mary Poppins written all over her! After all, isn't she "practically perfect in every way"? And besides that, she's British!

Yes, I can definitely see her floating over London holding an umbrella, looking adorable with a smudge of soot on her nose and singing something about a spoonful of sugar.

I don't know you well enough, but I would guess you to be a combo between Mary Poppins and Samantha Stevens.
