You are strong...when you take your grief and teach it to smile

You are brave...when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same.

You are loving...when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others.

You are wise...when you know the limits of your wisdom.

You are alive...when tomorrow's hope means more to you than yesterday's mistake.

You are growing...when you know what you are but not what you will become.

You are free...when you are in control of yourself and do not wish to control others.

You are merciful...when you forgive in others the faults you condemn in yourself.

You are beautiful...when you don't need a mirror to tell you.

You are rich...when you never need more than what you have.

You are you...when you are at peace with who you are not.

What are you?

I am trying to decide whether I can be bothered to go shopping! I do need to pick up a couple of things for miss minx but not sure if i can be arsed!! Think someone gave me a personality transplant when I wasn't looking - usually I am off like a shot.......

I'm beautiful? Even without my makeup on and an eye infection, a head cold and suffering from missing that all important hour last night?
My hair smells of traces of nit lotion, and my 6yo is suggesting I leave the home (can't yet make out why) She's delighted when I call her a brat, she think she's one of the Bratz gang, now! She's also threatening to kill Spud (3 yo) so I'll be spending the rest of the day watching out for that!

Sometimes I don't know who I am! That's the truth. I do know, however, that I have listed you for an award. Stop by my blog to see the details. You've had it before, so I don't think you have to come up with a list to pass it along to this time.

I always know what I am .. I am me .. that can change but 99.99% of the time its consistent. Tho I did change my profile icon .. its still me, bitchy and snarky but now its really me not an internet icon .. today is flea market trolling with my friend Wendy .. after we wander we'll go have coffee and catch up .. weather here the last several Sundays havent been out and about weather but today looks promising ..

I do think you are exactly those things .. including being a dear friend.

This was beautiful, Jackie.

But then you asked, "Who are you?" and it made my brain hurt. :-)

The difference between who I am and who I want to be is massive. But I know I'm on the road to getting there . . . and I'm good with that.

Hugs from Texas,

That is a wonderful reflective post for any day!

Who am I?
I am ME. I am content with what I have and grateful for what I gain.
I still whinge and whine but at the end of a day, I remember to be thankful. It could be so much worse!

Thanks for that. I love that post.

In the words of Zorba the Greek, "I am the whole catastrophe."

But this was beautiful and made me feel all noble and courageous.

I am me (on speed obviously). That made me laugh - do you think I'll qualify for those attributes or have I still got a long way to go....hmmm x
